A split album containing four songs from two bands. The first one is a band "The Extinct Dreams" from Barnaul (Russia) (founded in 2006, gained fame after release of two full-lenght albums and also giving regular shows.) Another one is a ''one-man-band" called Unsaved from an ancient Tbilisi (Georgia), for it this split-album is a debut work.
The album titled "Metamorphosis" tells us about transition from a living world to a world of dead and a triumph of the soul over the body. The album concept is reflected in each song of both authors - the first one is "The Outsider", based on the idea of Albert Camus novel, the second song is representation of the ancient Vedic mantra "Nrsimha Pranam" which is helping to overcome any of obstacles on the spiritual path. The song "Posthumous Remorse'' tells us about a wasted human's life. It would be worth to think about it, but the cold tombstone is stood still over him forever... there is only a regret remained, but nothing can be changed, alas. The text is based on a Charles Baudelaire's poem "Posthumous Remorse". The fourth and the final song is an ancient Georgian chant which is called "Cry of the Soul", it is written in the northern dialect of Old Georgian and was used for ritual purposes long time ago. It was sang over the dead, summoning the spirits of nature to help the deceased to follow the black light, which is described in the text of the song.
While listening to a split album "Metamorphosis" the listener has a chance to think about his own existence and a place in this world, take a look over "beyond" of mortal being and feel the coldness of the underworld's grim.
