Review from In You Eyes zine

PUR MANTENENDO PER LO PIÙ TRATTI MALINCONICI, IL SOUND DEI THE EXTINCT DREAMS NON APPARE MAI DISPERATO, MA MANTIENE UNA SORTA DI LUMINOSITÀ CHE CREA UN EFFICACE CONTRASTO CON LE PARTITURE TIPICAMENTE DOLENTI DEL DOOM

Funeral Doom Friday: Piecing Together the Fragments of Eternity with THE EXTINCT DREAMS

Nestled in Southern Russia lies the funerary entity of The Extinct Dreams. Active since 2006, the trio plays an atmospheric strain of Funeral Doom Metal that can be traced to some of Europe's earliest bands. Throughout its decade in existence, the group has released now three full-length albums as well as a split with Unsaved. The group currently consists of members: Ramapriya Das (vocals/guitars), Selena Silent (bass), and Dmitry Slastenin (drums). In the past, the group has featured as many as five members, but has since whittled it down to the current three that composed the music of their newest album, Fragments of Eternity.

Metamorphosis. Review from Metal Addicts

In the last year I’ve come across countless doom metal albums and have loved just as many as I didn’t, and the same exact thing goes for split albums. And yet before today I’ve never heard a split album between two doom bands, and that’s just what “Metamorphosis” from bands The Extinct Dreams and Unsaved is.

METAMORPHOSIS TOUR

THE EXTINCT DREAMS/UNSAVED - METAMORPHOSIS (SPLIT ALBUM)

A split album containing four songs from two bands. The first one is a band "The Extinct Dreams" from Barnaul (Russia) (founded in 2006, gained fame after release of two full-lenght albums and also giving regular shows.) Another one is a ''one-man-band" called Unsaved from an ancient Tbilisi (Georgia), for it this split-album is a debut work.
